The
Management Efficiency Unit adopts a matrix structure and is organised into two
groups. These groups are the 'Projects Group' and an 'Operations Group' as can be seen in the MEU
Organogram. Each group is
composed of a number of Consultants, Senior Associate Consultants,
Associate Consultants and Research Analysts. They are headed by a Managing Consultant reporting to the Unit's
Chief Executive Officer.
Projects
Group
The
Projects Group is client oriented and is responsible for the
implementation of all initiatives entrusted to the Unit. It is composed of
a number of Consultants, Senior Associate Consultants, Associate
Consultants and Research Analysts operating as project teams in the
various functional sectors of the Public Service.
Operations
Group
The
Operations Group is internally focused and deals exclusively on matters of
professional training and organisational development. This is achieved
through four streams – a strategy stream, a project management stream,
an organisational design and development stream, and an IS/IT stream –
that reflect the core competencies and expertise of the Unit.
Project
Support Office
A
Project Support Office assists the Projects Group through the provision of
resource utilisation and other project related information. It also
supports project managers and their teams in the execution of their
assignments.
Project
Review Board
A
Project Review Board regularly and formally review projects to ascertain
the maintenance of high quality standards.
