We
perform operations reviews to determine the extent to which the
organisation is operating Efficiently, Effectively, and Economically.
The review considers the Stakeholder Requirements and the
procedural Value Chain. Where and as necessary an operations review will
include the
re-engineering of business processes.

Review of the Department of Corporate Services within the Ministry for
Transport and Communications
This
project was undertaken to ascertain to what extent the Department of Corporate
Services within the
Ministry needed to be strengthened, both in terms of role and functions, as well as
staffing requirements, in order to be able to carry out an effective
corporate support role to all organisations within the Ministry. This
review was also intended to identify which corporate support functions
dispersed throughout the various Departments within the Ministry needed to
migrate to the Department of Corporate Services.

Review of the Planning
Authority
The
Planning Authority commissioned the MEU to carry out an Operational and
Organisational Review for the various functions of its organisation. This
review followed the Government's plan of addressing the need to reform the
Planning Authority in terms of changes to its current legislation,
existing policies and organisation.
Operations
Review of the Law Courts Administration
The
Operational Review of the Law Courts was an extensive and comprehensive
exercise that covered the mission and mandate of the lay organisation of
the Courts, as well as their core operations in terms of organisation and
management. The review also dealt extensively with the business processes
of the Law Courts Administration and recommended significant changes,
including a greater use of technology.
Enemalta
Corporation
MEU
was commissioned to conduct an Organisational Analysis and Audit of the
public utility responsible for the generation, transmission and
distribution of electricity, and for the procurement and supply of gas and
petroleum. The analysis focused towards restructuring the organisation in
line with its key strategic objectives. The review proposed the
establishment of strategic business units and outlined the way forward
which included a proposed implementation strategy.
